P.O.S. on SXSW and his forthcoming solo record

by Andrea Swensson

March 18, 2012

Friday was a busy day for Minnesota showcases at SXSW, with both First Avenue and IPR throwing all-local parties down in Austin. First Avenue's party was especially bustling all afternoon as Brother Ali performed songs off his forthcoming Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color backed by a live band, Doomtree performed a nonstop full-crew set, and Trampled by Turtles closed out the show with a rousing, sweaty, at-capacity performance.

As the bands loaded out their gear, P.O.S. of Doomtree was kind enough to take a few minutes to chat about his experience. Listen to our conversation about SXSW, his new album, his collaboration with Astronautalis, and his brand-new baby, Lincoln, in the audio widget below.
