Twin Cities Celtic Music Showcase returns for round two

by Jon Schober

March 15, 2012

After the success of last year's first Twin Cities Celtic Music Showcase, the event will be back for another installment tonight at the Fine Line Music Cafe.

Appropriately in advance of St. Patty's Day, the show is also held in March because it's Minnesota FoodShare month. It's the 30th year of the campaign and net proceeds from the Twin Cities Celtic Music Showcase will be donated to the Emergency Foodshelf Network. Donations of nonperishable food items will also be accepted. We have over 300 food shelves in Minnesota which received more than 3 million visits in 2011 alone.

Great local music is also of focus here, and the showcase will have performances by the Wild Colonial Bhoys, Sweet Colleens and Hounds of Finn. The benefit is also sponsored by Finnegans, the first beer in the world to donate 100 percent of its profits back to the community.

Doors are at 7 p.m. and music begins at 7:30 p.m. More information can be found at the Fine Line's website as well as the event's official page.
