Saturday, May 19 is Minnesota Music Day on The Current, and this year we celebrating with something new — by hosting a bracket of some of the greatest Minnesota instrumentalists both past and present to create the Minnesota dream band. Throughout Friday, you voted on your favorite vocalists, guitarists, bassists and drummers through three rounds to create the perfect local music line-up. Check out the results!

And just so you know, we arrived at our picks through a very unscientific poll of the Current staff, and they're sure to be contentious. Please tell us in the comments who we forgot, and be sure to shine a light on all of the immensely talented keyboardists, DJs/producers, MCs, banjo players and other instrumentalists that we left out for the simplicity of a more traditional rock line-up.
