The Walker’s Music & Movies series returns to Loring Park July 29

by Andrea Swensson

May 21, 2013

The Walker Art Center unveiled its Music & Movies 2013 lineup this afternoon, which will once again feature a handful of Minnesota acts warming up for free movie screenings Monday evenings in July and August.

There are a few surprises in this year's lineup—namely, a night that will feature two separate musical performances, with the Roe Family Singers opening for Charlie Parr, and a night led by Grant Cutler that will feature his recent collaborative work with Aby Wolf (with whom he created the album Wolf Lords) and Holly Hansen of Zoo Animal. It will be the first time Cutler and Hansen have performed their new material, which was released under the name Weird Visions, in a live setting.

Music begins at 7 p.m. each night, with the movie screening following at dusk. All events are free and all ages. The films were selected to complement this year's theme, "Roadways."
