Winona’s Mid West Music Fest announces fifth anniversary lineup

by Andrea Swensson

February 24, 2014

Now in its fifth year, Winona's Mid West Music Fest will once again call on talent from throughout the state to fill 13 different venues throughout the city. This year's MWMF is taking place April 24-26, and will culminate in headlining performance by Minneapolis's Lizzo, Caroline Smith, and the 4onthefloor and Duluth's Charlie Parr.

Other acts on the bill run the gamut from folk and roots to electronic and hip-hop. Red House Records artist Cliff Eberhardt, country duo the Cactus Blossoms, looping artist Dosh, and Nona Marie Invie of Dark Dark Dark's Anonymous Choir are among the other highlights.

In addition to the typical three nights of music, this year's Mid West Music Fest will also include a pre-fest celebration at both Ed's (no name) Bar and Broken World Records on the evening of Wednesday, April 23. Lineups for those warm-up events will be announced at a later date.

The entire festival is all-ages and multi-day passes are on sale now. More info on this year's event is available at Mid West Music Fest's website, and see below for links to coverage of the 2012 and 2013 festivals.
