Friday Five: Haley Bonar sings with Choo Choo Bob, plus more new MN videos
May 02, 2014
Happy Friday! Here's a handful of the best and brightest music videos to emerge this week from the Minnesota scene:
Haley Bonar and Choo Choo Bob
Ohhhh, fer cute. Haley Bonar recently appeared on the Choo Choo Bob Show to perform a song she wrote just for the show, "Build Somethings."
Sonny Knight and the Lakers
It's not often that I'll put the same artist in the Friday Five two weeks in a row, but in case you haven't noticed, it's kinda Sonny Knight's week here in the Twin Cities. He's on the cover of City Pages this week, he was on The Local Show, he was featured on MN Original, and he'll be holding it down as tomorrow night's headliner in the First Avenue Mainroom as he releases his new album, I'm Still Here.
Allan Kingdom
In a new video for his previously unreleased song "Evergreens," rapper Allan Kingdom hops around to different Twin Cities landmarks with help from pals like Shiro Dame's Sarah White and internet phenom Spooky Black.
Sans Caballo
My favorite mystery band (previously featured on the Friday Five here) is back with a new video for "Macky," another of the tracks on their debut EP It Counts. The band (?) will be back with another four-song EP on Sporktone Records this summer.
The Level Heads
In advance of their album-release show tomorrow night at Icehouse, hybrid rock and hip-hop band the Level Heads released a new video for the album's title track, "Reinvent."
