Summer Set 2014 announces complete lineup featuring Wu-Tang, Chromeo, and more

by Mallory Guinee

May 13, 2014

Wisconsin’s dance-oriented music festival Summer Set has announced the complete lineup for its 2014 event. The annual festival, presented by the Current, will take place August 15-17. Headliners include the revolutionary hip hop collective Wu-Tang Clan; Canadian electrofunk duo Chromeo with fresh new album White Women; Grammy-nominated DJ Kaskade; livetronica instrumentalists Big Gigantic; Pennsylvania jam band the Disco Biscuits, and experimental rapper Flying Lotus.

The festival will also include a number of smaller acts such as Chicago funk stars the Main Squeeze and Wisconsin natives Horseshoes and Hand Grenades—a progressive bluegrass and old-time five-piece outfit that has performed with impressive acts such as the Infamous Stringdusters, Yonder Mountain String band, and Minnesota’s own Pert Near Sandstone. Minneapolis’s own soul sensation, Sonny Knight and the Lakers, flying high after their successful album release show at First Avenue, will also be heading to Wisconsin.

Tickets for the complete festival are available at Summer Set's website, and individual day passes will be made available in the coming weeks. Music starts at 3 p.m. on Friday and runs until 10:15 on Sunday. Here's the entire massive list of acts who will perform at the festival this year; specific dates and set times have not yet been announced.
