Today’s Music News: Gorillaz announce new album plans

Damon Albarn has made it official: he's heading into the studio in September to begin work on a new Gorillaz album to be released next year. Earlier this year, artist Jamie Hewlett shared some new illustrations that gave fans the idea a fifth Gorillaz album might be in the works. (Billboard)

Rosanne Cash will be among four new inductees to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. At an Oct. 11 ceremony, Cash will be welcomed to the Hall along with Mark James ("Always On My Mind"), Craig Wiseman ("Live Like You Were Dying"), and Even Stevens ("Crazy in Love," the Conway Twitty song). The 2015 Polaris Prize for best Canadian album has been reduced to a short list of eight albums:
