Minnesota Next: Photos from the two-day showcase of new artists at the Cedar

by Andrea Swensson

August 21, 2015

It was an action-packed weekend at the Cedar Cultural Center last weekend as eight bands from disparate genres performed alongside each other at Minnesota Next.

I had the honor of emceeing both nights of talent and accidentally curated the lineup (event producer Corey Bracken of Apelis Productions relied on my "10 new Twin Cities Bands to Watch" blog post to book the bands), and it was my first time seeing most of the acts live. It ended up being a spectacular collection of performances, with numerous standout moments and highlights. Major props to Corey and the Cedar for taking a chance on these up-and-coming artists.

College contributor Emmet Kowler was on hand throughout the weekend to capture images of all eight performances.
