Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival will return to Chippewa Valley in August 2016

by Andrea Swensson

October 21, 2015

In a move that will surprise precisely 0% of the people who attended this year's inaugural event, the wildly successful Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival has announced its plans to return to the Foster Farms grounds outside of Eau Claire, Wisconsin on August 12 and 13, 2016.

Curated by Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and the National's Aaron Dessner, the first installment of Eaux Claires drew over 20,000 fans, sold out every hotel, dorm, and cabin in the southwest Wisconsin area, and provided happy fans with an immersive, eclectic experience.

It also marked one of Bon Iver's only live performances in recent years and was an opportunity to take in all of Vernon's favorite Eau Claire-affiliated acts, not to mention memorable appearances from gospel kings the Blind Boys of Alabama, dance heavyweight Boys Noize, Swedish folk darling the Tallest Man on Earth, and so much more.

Read my recap of this year's Eaux Claires Festival here, and see below for all of the details that are currently available about next year's event.
