Adele to kick off North American tour with two shows in St. Paul

by Jay Gabler

December 14, 2015

Two shows at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul will inaugurate Adele's North American tour behind her massive hit album 25. The shows will take place on July 5 and 6, with tickets on sale this Thursday — Dec. 17 — at 10:00 a.m. Ticket prices for the St. Paul shows will be $39.95 - $149.50.

The 56-night tour will be Adele's first North American outing in five years. The epic tour will wrap up Nov. 15 in Mexico City.  The full list of tour dates is available on Adele's website.

25 has already been a success of historic proportions, crushing *NSYNC's 15-year record for most copies sold in a single week — and becoming the first record in the history of SoundScan to sell over one million copies in each of two separate weeks. Both album and lead single ("Hello") shot to number one, and Adele's momentum shows no sign of slowing into the new year.

A concert special, Adele Live in New York City, airs tonight on NBC at 9:00 p.m. Today through Thursday, listen to The Current for chances to win tickets to what's likely to be the biggest tour of the year.
