Back around the time that Prince crashed the Current's fifth birthday party in early 2010, it seemed like we couldn't go a month without hearing another purple rumor. In recent years, Prince chatter has simmered down to a quiet murmur on the homefront, with the Purple One devoting his time to touring the East Coast, California, and Canada rather than randomly dropping in on events in the Twin Cities.

Questlove coming to town to DJ the Revolution reunion afterparty

"Can't wait to go to MN to DJ at @FirstAvenue following Wendy/Lisa/Brownmark/Fink/& Bobby's first show in almost 10 years," Roots drummer Questlove tweeted last night, setting off a firestorm amongst avid Minnesota music fans. Questo is referring to next month's reunion gig by Prince backing band the Revolution, which takes place February 19 at First Avenue.
