Memorial planned for Daniel Levy

by Andrea Swensson

February 06, 2012

It's been almost a month since Honeydogs, Liminal Phase, and Bunny Clogs frontman Adam Levy said good night to his son Daniel Levy, and now the time has come to say goodbye. A public memorial service has been announced for Daniel, and the family is asking for help getting word out about the event.

The memorial will be held on Saturday, February 18, at the History Theater (30 10th St. E. in downtoan St. Paul). Seating begins at 1 p.m., the program begins at 1:30, and a reception will follow in the atrium of the theater.

Here's the full statement from the family about Daniel's passing:

Daniel J. Levy died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, after a long struggle with mental illness. He took his own life. He was 21. A 2008 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School, he was a talented artist, a loving brother and son, an avid skateboarder and an empathetic and kind human being. He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Delton of Saratoga Springs; his father, Adam Levy of Minneapolis; and many, many friends and relatives who loved him dearly.
