New Explore Minnesota jingle features Haley Bonar, Dessa, Chris Koza, more

Those looking for proof of Minnesota's vibrant music community need look no further than Explore Minnesota Tourism's latest campaign, which is advertising our arts and music scenes as some of our state's key selling points. It's not the first time the campaign has featured local acts -- last year, Solid Gold performed the jingle for a commercial featuring Joe Mauer -- but the latest ads call on the talents of over half a dozen Twin Cities musicians and pays homage to one of Minnesota's most iconic artists.

In a promo that mimics Bob Dylan's video for "Subterranean Homesick Blues," musicians Haley Bonar, Dessa, Gabriel Douglas (The 4onthefloor), Chris Koza (Rogue Valley), Lucy Michelle, Chris Pavlich, and Caroline Smith trade verses on a cute jingle about our state's best assets. Bob Erler, advertising manager for Explore Minnesota Tourism says, "All the MN talent were great and seemed honored to be able to help." Watch it here:

And for comparison, here's Dylan's original video for "Subterranean Homesick Blues":
