Music in Mears 2012 season brings free music to Lowertown St. Paul

by Andrea Swensson

June 06, 2012

Tonight marks the first installment of the free Music in Mears series, which is expanding this year to include performances by three different acts each night. The series takes place nearly every Thursday (the only exception being the week Independence Day) throughout the summer and has quite the quality lineup; highlights include Communist Daughter (June 14), The Idle Hands with Heartbeats (July 12), the stellar front-to-back trio of Mayda, Kill the Vultures, and No Bird Sing (August 9), The Honeydogs (August 23), and many more.

See the full lineup below. The performances from July 19-August 30 will also be paired with 9 p.m. film screenings. Keep an eye on the Music in Mears Facebook page for the latest updates, and click here for a map of Mears Park.
