David Byrne & St. Vincent, Wu-Tang Clan, Yeasayer playing Des Moines festival 80/35

by Andrea Swensson

April 09, 2013

Des Moines, Iowa's 80/35 festival continues to grow in size and scope. The lineup for this year's sixth annual event will feature heavyweight headliners David Byrne & St. Vincent and the Wu-Tang Clan, with an additional roster that includes indie favorites Yeasayer, Deerhunter, Wavves, and many more.

Just a three and a half hour drive from the Twin Cities (about the same as a trek to Duluth), the 80/35 festival has become one of the largest musical gatherings in our area, and typically pulls in quite a few Twin Cities acts to open the stages for the larger national performers. So far, Minneapolis jam band Roster McCabe has been announced; more acts are expected to be unveiled soon.

This year's 80/35 is happening July 5 and 6 in Des Moines' Western Gateway Park, and advanced tickets are available now. Here's the lineup so far; the bill will eventually include about 40 acts.
