Friday Five: New videos from Prissy Clerks, With a Gun for a Face, Astronautalis, more
April 26, 2013
Happy Friday! Oh, how I've been waiting to say that and really mean it, you know? The sun is out, the temperature is rising, and I think we can safely say that the worst of this wretched, drawn-out winter season is behind us. If you're stuck inside until the end of the workday, here is a handful of fresh local videos to help you get through those last few hours...
With a Gun for a Face
I don't know about you, but I've been craving some good, loud, hard rock lately—and today, this clip from With a Gun for a Face really did the trick. If you like what you hear, you can download their entire new album, Autocrat, for free on Bandcamp.

Prissy Clerks
Ever wonder what it would be like to hang out with Prissy Clerks while they play video games? Spoiler alert: It gets a little trippy. They are the video game.

Astronautalis
My favorite track off Astronautalis's This is Our Science record, "Dimitri Mendeleev," gets a cool visual treatment in this new video directed by Justin Staggs and Nate Maydole. "Joni Mitchell says we are stardust, we are golden..."

Exit to Eden
I was unfamiliar with this group before they sent me a link to a few of their videos, and I was impressed by the strength of lead singer Elissa-Marie Pearson's voice. In this clip, the band is performing their song "Sleep Alone" live at the Fine Line.
The Color Pharmacy
This new video from the Color Pharmacy provides a behind-the-scenes look at their recent recording session at the Pearl in Northeast Minneapolis.
