Tis the season… One of the biggest annual music events of the year, the Doomtree Blowout, will return for its ninth year December 13-15 for three shows in First Avenue’s Mainroom.

All seven Doomtree members—MCs P.O.S., Dessa, Sims, Mike Mictlan, and Cecil Otter, and producers Lazerbeak and Paper Tiger—will perform marathon sets each night, giving fans a chance to sample each member’s solo projects in addition to their full-crew material. In the past, the hip-hop collective have performed shows that can span three hours or more.

All three shows are 18+, but the crew just tweeted this tantalizing detail: “If you’re under 18, know this: We’re not done announcing. Got one that may make old heads jealous if you’re on the ball.”

Tickets for Doomtree Blowout 9 go on sale to the general public this Friday, November 1, and members of Doomtree will be at First Avenue’s Depot Tavern on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. to sell tickets in person.

UPDATE: Doomtree is offering a special 12-hour presale for listeners of the Current. From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today, October 31, you can access presale tickets with the code “KCMP.” Buy tickets here.
