Trampled by Turtles

Need further proof that the Minnesota music scene is especially good at blurring genre lines? No one batted an eye that neo-soul singer Har Mar Superstar had the starring role in the latest video from bluegrass-inspired Americana band Trampled by Turtles. I mean, why wouldn’t he? Meet Buddakao: a new hybrid hip-hop and rock band who just released their new album, Hand Over Hand.

And we’ll end things with the always-reliable Carnage, who has been recording these “Public Execution” videos live in one take and posting them without any edits. It’s a great primer on the beatboxer and rapper’s many extraordinary abilities.
