Video Premiere: “Ocean” by tiny deaths

by Jay Gabler

July 11, 2014

Tiny deaths began as a collaboration between Claire de Lune and Grant Cutler back when Claire's trio the Chalice—with Lizzo and Sophia Eris—were the toast of the local live music scene. Now the Chalice is on hiatus as its members focus on other projects: Lizzo's solo career; GRRRL PRTY featuring Lizzo and Sophia Eris; and, for Claire, tiny deaths.

With an ethereal, intoxicating sound, tiny deaths have completed an EP that they plan to release soon. A complication is that Cutler (Lookbook, Grant Cutler and the Gorgeous Lords) now lives in New York; but the duo have taken this as an opportunity to assemble a live band featuring Claire and other musicians, which will be the form tiny deaths take when they play the 7th Street Entry tonight, supporting headliners Glass Animals.

We're proud to premiere a new video for tiny deaths' single "Ocean," directed by Nicholas Larkins Perez.
