Want to be Cloud Cult’s new drummer?

by Andrea Swensson

July 02, 2014

Have you always dreamed of being a drummer in a touring indie band? Especially one that has cultivated an especially intense and emotional connection with its fans and is beloved by environmentally conscious, tender souls from coast to coast? Then you may consider getting your application materials together quickly, because Cloud Cult have just announced an immediate opening (a position long held by Arlen Peiffer, who also plays with Caroline Smith) and will begin auditioning drummers later this month.

Here's the full announcement:

Cloud Cult Seeks Drummer

Cloud Cult, an independent touring orchestral rock band, will be holding auditions in early July for a professional drummer. The individual should have flexibility in their schedule to be available approximately 10 days per month (sometimes more and sometimes less) for shows, rehearsals and recording. The ideal candidate would be a dynamic & creative player with touring experience, ability to perform with an in-ear-monitor system, capable of learning drum lines quickly by ear, and ability to perform a wide variety of drumming styles, including use of limited auxiliary percussion. This is a paid and long term position and would require the individual to be located in either the Twin Cities or the Viroqua/La Crosse Driftless region. Applications for auditions will be accepted until Monday, July 7. Position will begin immediately following auditions in mid-July. For more info, contact cloudcult@cloudcult.com
