Atmosphere and Trampled By Turtles join Bonnaroo 2015 lineup

by Jay Gabler

January 14, 2015

From June 11-14 in Manchester, Tennessee, Atmosphere will represent for Minneapolis's Southside and Trampled By Turtles will represent Duluth at Bonnaroo. The annual music festival announced the first wave of its lineup yesterday via an innovative method—fans had to call a phone number to learn who was in the lineup, one artist at a time—that succeeded as an attention-getting gimmick in what's becoming an increasingly crowded season of summer festival announcements.

Perhaps the most surprising high-profile act on the Bonnaroo bill is veteran singer-songwriter Billy Joel, who will warm up for the festival at gigs including a May 16 slot at Target Center. The lineup also includes more predictable festival headliners like Hozier, Mumford & Sons, and Spoon as well as white-hot up-and-comers like Run the Jewels and Jungle.

In the meantime, Atmosphere—the first band we ever played on The Current—will be helping us to celebrate our tenth anniversary on Jan. 24 at First Avenue. Here's the complete lineup—so far.
