Some Wisconsin and University of Minnesota alumni have put their garage-rock tunes into their very cohesive debut Witness. Fitness recorded their album in under three weeks in the basement of a university library while hanging out over Christmas break. That gives you a sense of the band's aesthetic, but their sound isn't hidden under a pile of reverb and distortion, so they sound great. Stories, sarcasm, and tangible emotions are all elements you will find in Witness by Fitness.

With Motion City Soundtrack on a Commit This to Memory anniversary show, pop-punk is back in a big way. Remo Drive and Unturned have come out with a split 7" together, proving that fast-burn pop-punk is far from a thing of the past.
Botzy: "Nervous Butterfly"
Today we premiered "Nervous Butterfly," a moving new track from Botzy's forthcoming album Still Not Dead Yet. Complete with a video that tells a story about an ambiguous relationship between a young man and woman, it's a thoughtful addition to your Valentine's week playlist.
