Alabama Shakes will follow up Hall’s Island show with intimate gig at Paisley Park

Was it the earrings, Brittany?

Alabama Shakes have landed on Prince's radar in a big way. Just two months after rocking a pair of tiny Prince faces on her earlobes while performing on Saturday Night Live, Brittany Howard and her blues-rocking band have been invited to perform at Prince's Paisley Park wonderland in Chanhassen.

The Shakes will play Paisley Park on Monday night, capping off a huge weekend in the Twin Cities that saw them breaking in a new venue on the Minneapolis waterfront at Hall's Island and performing in front of 8,500 fans with Father John Misty.

Doors for the Paisley show will open at 7:30 p.m. on Monday night, with music expected to start promptly at 9:00. It's being billed as an Alabama Shakes show, but like other recent events at the venue, there's the chance that the night could evolve into a jam session with Prince's band, 3RDEYEGIRL, and the man himself.

Tickets are $35 and available at Paisley Park Day of the Show, starting at 7:30 p.m. Stay tuned to The Current for a chance to get on the list, or enter for a chance to win a pair of tickets online.
