Friday Five: Erik Koskinen, Cloud Cult, On an On, and more new Minnesota music videos
June 26, 2015
Happy Friday, and Happy Pride Weekend in the Twin Cities! I'd say we're off to a pretty solid start already. To get you even more pumped for the weekend, here are a few of the latest and best music videos to surface around town:
Erik Koskinen
Ahead of his big Live at the Real-Phonic Radio Hour album release show tomorrow night at the Turf Club, Erik Koskinen just dropped this retro throwback video for the song "Will You Feel My Love." He's promising to bring all his friends—including regular bandmates Paul Bergen, Frankie Lee and JT Bates—to the Turf stage tomorrow night to help him celebrate.
Cloud Cult
If you missed Cloud Cult's massive outdoor show a few weeks back during Northern Spark, this Lowertown Line video brings you to the front row. Thousands of fans turned out to catch the band kick off the all-night Northern Spark festival on Minneapolis Convention Center Plaza.
On an On
On an On filmed their new video for "It's Not Over" using three iPhone 6s—a feat that earned them a nod from Mashable. Find the track on their new album, And The Wave Has Two Sides, which is due out July 24.
Rock the Garden
Take a romp through all 10 acts that performed at last weekend's Rock the Garden in this recap video from the Walker Art Center, set to Courtney Barnett's fierce rendition of "Pedestrian at Best."
Lunar Bedrooms
Here's a new one for you to check out: Lunar Bedrooms are a Minneapolis-based quartet who play synthy, upbeat dream-pop, and they just released their second single, "GSVRU." Keep up with their latest gigs and tracks here.
