With news confirmed that Prince has a new album coming out sometime this year, he's just dropped a new track—on Spotify, of all places, despite having removed all his other music from the service just a month ago.

Is he taking the advice of a Fox 9 digital producer to heart? Only Prince knows, but Spotify is thrilled, saying that Prince's exclusive new track is "just for Spotify fans!"

The new track is a funky workout called "Stare," a song so squarely in the Prince tradition that he even quotes a riff from "Kiss." As the Prince Vault fan site notes, the song was teased earlier this year in since-removed videos on 3RDEYEGIRL's YouTube account. Enjoy the complete song:
