Friday Five: Bad Bad Hats, L’Assassins, Trampled by Turtles, and more new videos

by Andrea Swensson

September 18, 2015

Happy Friday! I hope you guys like salads, because we're going to kick things off this week with a whole bunch of 'em...

Bad Bad Hats

I CAN'T. STOP. IT'S TOO MUCH.

L'Assassins

To celebrate a new song they co-wrote with Suburbs frontman Chan Poling, L'Assassins conjured all the fiery spirits and traveled back to the Stone Age to roast a man alive over their "Fire of Love."

Trampled by Turtles

In this homemade video created by the band, Trampled by Turtles rely on hyperlapse iPhone photography to capture the skittish, pulse-quickening energy of their song "Come Back Home." Catch the band live at Festival Palomino tomorrow along with a whole bunch of top-notch touring acts.

Rank Strangers

Found footage artist Rev K is at it again with a new video for Rank Strangers, who have a new album, The Box, out November 9. The release show for The Box is November 14 at the 7th St. Entry with special guests the Magnolias, the Sex Rays, and Wowsville.

Bora York

Not only is this song catchy as hell, but this new video from Bora York provides a close-up glimpse at what it's like to play a show at the Varsity. It was shot and edited by local filmmaker Joseph McMahon at their release show for Secret Youth last month; stream the full album here.
