Bad Bad Hats, Tony Peachka to headline She Rock She Rock anniversary event

by Hanna Bubser

October 11, 2016

On Saturday, Oct. 15, She Rock She Rock will take over the Amsterdam Bar and Hall with their 10-year anniversary party. Performers include Bad Bad Hats, Tony Peachka, Cadence the Wolf, and Kill You Twice.

She Rock She Rock is a non-profit based in Minnesota. They have many programs aimed toward empowering women and girls through music. This event specifically celebrates the 10-year anniversary of their Girls Rock n Roll Retreat: a summer camp held every year for girls ages 9-16. Along with the concert, this event will include a raffle for a guitar signed by the Go-Go's, a Tweedy poster signed by the band, a single signed by the Gear Daddies, camp scholarship opportunities, and a silent auction.

Bad Bad Hats have been one of the hottest bands to emerge from the Twin Cities in recent years, still riding high on the success of their critically acclaimed debut Psychic Reader. Tony Peachka are a band who sing self-described "angry pop"; band member Danielle Cusack teaches at She Rock She Rock. Formerly known as Half Demon Doll, Cadence the Wolf formed at a Girls Rock n Roll Retreat session and have been making music for six years. Kill You Twice are a young power trio whose music can be dark and grungy, but who also have a sense of humor.

The party takes place from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $17 in advance and $20 at the door. Doors open at 5 p.m.
