Watch Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher talk about ‘Star Wars’ in vintage clips being shown at Parkway Theater

by Jay Gabler

December 10, 2015

As the world waits eagerly for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens to be released on Dec. 18, TCMediaNow is presenting A Star Wars Celebration at the Parkway Theater. The 90-minute program features vintage television footage from Twin Cities airwaves, promoting the original Star Wars trilogy. In addition to cast interviews and merchandise commercials, the event will feature footage from the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special — aired only once, in 1978.

The event starts tonight, Dec. 10, at 7:00 p.m.; tickets are $10 and are available at the door or in advance (advance ticket price includes fee). TCMediaNow is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Twin Cities film and video. Below, in clips shared with us by TCMediaNow, watch Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher tell KARE's Bill Carlson about their roles in the original Star Wars (1977), and see a commercial for a Darth Vader action figure case.
